“Holtab has a bright atmosphere”
Ida Hedström has long worked in industrial settings. As a coordinator at Holtab’s factory in Olofström, she gets a different feeling, a positive one.
Ida has more than one string to her bow. Not only is she a trained electrician and has held various positions in the industry, she is also very interested in singing and music.
She recently graduated from a digital audio production programme at Blekinge University of Technology in the hope of finding a new career path. But by chance, Holtab was looking for people and she found herself back in the industry.
"I’ve worked a lot in the automotive industry before, both as a fitter and operator. When Holtab started up a factory here in Olofström, I applied for a job as a fitter, but now I’m the coordinator. I have fitters and electricians in my team," she says.
Good people
She gets a different feeling at Holtab than the one she is used to from the industry. The premises are bright and people greet you. It's a refreshing feeling," says Ida.
"Holtab's people are good people, and everything here is a step up."
Ida likes the stimulation of trying new things. As a coordinator, it is her responsibility to keep track of materials and delivery times, and get the team up and running.
"I make sure people feel okay. Holtab makes me feel needed and that I am doing something good. My manager Martin Håkansson has really given me an opportunity, which is fun."
