Controller Julia – A Boost for Holtab’s Sustainability Efforts
With Julia Pastaven on board, Holtab is taking its sustainability work to the next level. She holds the new position of Sustainability Controller.
“It’s exciting to join a workplace that already has the right mindset at its core,” she says.
Sustainability is not just a priority for Holtab – it’s embedded in everything the company stands for. This includes social, economic, and environmental responsibility.
“There’s a strong circular mindset here. You notice it right away,” says Julia.
Starting this year, Holtab will report in accordance with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This directive is part of the EU’s “Green Deal,” which aims to make Europe the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050.
Many Factors to Consider
The data collected covers a wide range of aspects, from business ethics and whistleblowing to recycling and carbon emissions.
“CSRD helps increase transparency and accountability within companies, making it easier for investors and other stakeholders to understand how businesses approach sustainability,” Julia explains.
Before joining Holtab, she worked as a Business Controller. Getting the chance to shift focus and work more with sustainability feels like hitting the jackpot.
“This has always been a strong interest of mine. Collecting data and conducting analyses in this field is incredibly stimulating,” she says.
