Smart solutions for energy distribution

The ongoing climate and energy transition creates increased demands for a secure electricity supply and long-term solutions. Our industry knowledge enables us to find solutions together with you as a customer.

The energy transition

“We are innovative when energy distribution changes”

Grid companies are facing challenges as electrification accelerates. For Holtab, this development has led to new collaborations and more innovative solutions.

“More is happening now than in decades. We at Holtab are involved now when the electricity grid is used in a new way,” says Michael Martinsson, who is a sales engineer at Holtab.

Custom-built compact secondary substation (CSS) secures electricity supply on island in Bottenviken (the Bothnian Bay)

The island of Stora Fjäderägg outside Umeå is famous for nature lovers and birdwatchers. When Umeå Energi future-proofs the island’s power supply, Holtab will be involved in delivering a custom-built compact secondary substation (CSS) with a reserve power unit.

Customised and prefabricated

As a supplier to energy companies, we have extensive experience in manufacturing primary substations, compact secondary substations (CSS) and low-voltage switchgear. While our standard products often fulfil every need, sometimes unique adaptations are required. These are customised solutions that are prefabricated and tested in a factory environment – ready to use immediately.

Wide range of compact secondary substations (CSS)

Our industry knowledge, combined with the fact that we’re an independent manufacturer of medium-voltage equipment, makes for enormous flexibility. You have virtually unlimited possibilities to choose equipment for both inside and out.
