During this year’s Holtab journey to Nepal, one of the main objectives was to check in on two entirely new projects. In the remote and impoverished region of Jajarkot, two schools have been built for children following last year’s earthquake.

“Thanks to our efforts, we’re making a significant difference for people. It feels great,” says Gordon Gunnarsson, Holtab’s Technical Manager, who visited Nepal for the seventh time.

Data-driven analysis and modern technology are important tools for energy efficiency. Holtab uses the ABB Ability Energy Manager cloud system to not only achieve its own sustainability goals, but also to help customers optimise their energy consumption.

As Senior Business Developer, Mohamed Ezzo works to ensure that Holtab is at the forefront of new products and business models in the electricity market. “My task is to promote Holtab’s intrapreneurship,” he says.

Throughout the sixteen years of Holtab's involvement in Nepal, there has been a noticeable improvement for the people.
"I am pleased with the positive development. A lot has truly happened," says Gordon Gunnarsson, Holtab's technical director, who visited for the sixth time in November.

Holtab is investing in becoming an even better provider of electricity solutions.
"Because our products are unique and customised, quality is becoming increasingly important", says Karin Lundstedt, Head of Quality and Environment at Holtab.

A flat organisation and ability to express opinions contribute to smarter safety thinking according to Holtab’s technical manager Gordon Gunnarsson.

The department’s role is to receive potential jobs from the sales team, and convert them into feasible tenders. This all has to be presented in a way that the customer can understand and base a decision on.
