Holtab increases production – recruits 20 new employees
To meet increased demand, Holtab is expanding with a new production facility in Tingsryd. With increased an production capacity, we plan to hire around 20 new employees.
"It's exciting and positive that we are taking this step. We see continued strong demand in the coming years and it is necessary to increase our capacity if we are to meet the market’s needs," says Michael Fohlin, Head of Operations at Holtab and responsible for the expansion.
By expanding one of the existing production halls, Holtab will gain an additional 700 m² of production space, an increase of 25 per cent of the total assembly area in our compact secondary substation (CSS) production in Tingsryd. The new factory section has six ports and is specially adapted to handle the production of larger and heavier compact secondary substations (CSS).
"We will now be able to produce even more compact secondary substations (CSS), but also larger and customised project stations and technical buildings. This will contribute to faster delivery times," says Fohlin.
More job opportunities
The new production hall is scheduled to start operation after the summer. The new positions to be filled include fitters, panel builders, electrical designers and testers.
"The expansion includes both of our manufacturing divisions at Holtab. That’s why we plan to recruit at least 20 people, both production staff and salaried employees, to reach full capacity" says Pernilla Sundén, HR Manager at Holtab.
Holtab House
During the year, Holtab’s office on Dackegatan in Tingsryd was also expanded, with 18 new office spaces, conference rooms, a workshop area and a cosy lounge corner.
"We call it our Holtab House. Visitors and employees alike can sit and work here. Not least those who are visiting from other parts of the country," she says.
