The electrification wave in Sweden is underway at full speed and many companies are investing in developing renewable sources such as solar and wind power. Holtab has extensive experience in the field and valuable knowledge.

Holtab has been an important part of the growth of solar and wind power in the Nordic region. In Denmark, the expansion of solar farms is taking place at a rapid pace and Holtab is continuously delivering large-scale electric power solutions. Holtab is also an established supplier in Sweden, where the investment in wind power has dominated so far.
“We are very pleased with the trust we have gained, and through our collaborations we have accumulated a great deal of knowledge. Since solar and wind power have similar regulations, the principle for electric power is the same. It is about electricity production that is to be delivered to the electricity grid,” says Mattias Hansson.
The difference is that the transformers are mounted at high altitude in a wind turbine, while the solar farm requires a grid station with a transformer on the ground.
Likes dialogue
After more than 50 years in the industry, Holtab has an established and wide network of contacts. For those players who build new parks and develop renewable energy, Holtab can act as a link between plant owners and electricity grid companies.
We care about having a dialogue, and we are most useful when we are involved early in the process. We often act as a consultant and advise on suitable electric power solutions.
The sustainability aspect is important. The solutions must be of high quality and last a long time.
“To give the vital electricity infrastructure the right conditions, we only work with large, established suppliers when it comes to our components,” says Mattias Hansson.
He looks forward to continuing to develop innovative electric power solutions within renewable energy.
“We know that a lot of electricity is needed to cope with the transition, which means that Sweden needs to expand both production and distribution. Holtab is a natural partner on this journey”.
