The electrification wave in Sweden is underway at full speed and many companies are investing in developing renewable sources such as solar and wind power.
“Holtab is a link between the connecting companies and the electricity grid companies,” says Mattias Hansson, Sales Engineer.
We have been involved in Nepal since 2007. We started in the small village of Jyamrung, where we literally helped spread light across the Himalayas. Since then, we have developed many new projects and more are on the way.
For Dala Energi, the pace of upgrading the electricity grid is high. Using a ready-built primary substation from Holtab saves both time and money. “We are very satisfied with how quick it went and its higher quality,” says Lars Jonsson, project manager at Dala Energi.
Together with Schneider, Holtab has developed a prefabricated 60/20 kV substation. European Energy in Denmark placed the order.

During this year’s Holtab journey to Nepal, one of the main objectives was to check in on two entirely new projects. In the remote and impoverished region of Jajarkot, two schools have been built for children following last year’s earthquake.
“Thanks to our efforts, we’re making a significant difference for people. It feels great,” says Gordon Gunnarsson, Holtab’s Technical Manager, who visited Nepal for the seventh time.
To strengthen its work in innovation and business development, Holtab is joining ABB’s innovation initiative SynerLeap as a partner.
“It feels exciting. This collaboration will enhance Holtab’s business and strengthen our position as a key player in the energy transition,” says Mohamed Ezzo, Senior Business Developer at Holtab.
